Handling Box Workshop - Becoming a Refugee

About

The 'Becoming a Refugee' handling box poses the question of what it means to be a refugee. Through the stories of Jewish refugee children who escaped Nazi Germany and other countries and found refuge in Britain before and after the Second World War. Through carefully chosen artefacts, explore who these children were, what they were forced to leave behind, their experiences in a new country, and how they were welcomed. Free workshop with museum admission charges. Limited places. Suitable for ages 9+ Parental Guidance. Photo credit: Steve Bradley
